Sparrow’s Graduation

To commemorate graduating from College for Creative Studies, I created a piece for my cap that symbolized my whole artistic/academic journey. The quote is from Sawamura Eijun and his words embodied my last four years to now. I take failure and continue to grow from it, and every stumble is an important discovery or step to who I want to be. Sunflowers symbolize Sawamura, the sparrow means hard work/effort, and the sunrise means new beginnings. This was a fun conceptual and illustrative piece that highlighted every skill that I have learned.
